About Us
Association Of Evangelical Schools In Lebanon
The Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon was founded in the year 1997 under the supervision of the Supreme Council of the Evangelical Churches in Syria and Lebanon.
The Association comprises more than thirty schools, distributed in different regions in Lebanon with more than 18,000 students.

Executive Board
- The Executive board typically consists of a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and other members appointed by the general assembly of the Association.
- They bring a diverse range of expertise and experience to the role, ensuring that the association is effectively governed and positioned to meet the needs of its member schools.

The Executive Committee of the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon plays a crucial role in the organization’s governance and operations. Its primary responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership:
Developing and implementing the Association’s strategic plan, vision, and mission.
Financial Oversight:
Overseeing the financial health of the organization, including budgeting, fundraising, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Representation:
Representing the Association at local, national, and international levels, advocating for the interests of evangelical schools.
Collaboration:
Fostering partnerships and collaborations with other educational organizations, government agencies, and international bodies.
Communication:
Ensuring effective communication among member schools, the Association’s staff, and external stakeholders.

Our Executive Board Members


Dr. Nabil Costa Has over 20 years in business management followed by 20 years of NGO leadership within the Educational sector in Lebanon, leading as Chief Executive Officer for the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development and founding the Smart Kids with Individual Learning Differences Center (SKILD) – one of the first centers for children with special needs in Lebanon. He continues to pursue avenues and networks that will help his local community with a special focus on the education of vulnerable individuals and families. He currently serves as General Secretary of the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon.
Dr. Jamal Bitar represents the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon in the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon. He is the Principal of Tripoli Evangelical School from 2008 till Present. Along with handling the school administration, he still teaches at the school. Dr. Bitar is also a member of the Task force for Astronomy and Astrophysics in the LNCSR and member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and Societe française pour Astronomie Astrophysique SF2A.


Ms. Nisrin Jabbour is the principal of the National Protestant College (NPC) in Kfarchima. With over 15 years of experience in education, she has served as an English language instructor at both the high school and freshman levels, as well as in roles such as English Department Coordinator and Head of the Elementary Section. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. In addition to her role as principal, she also serves as the Head of the English Department.


Rev. Raffi Messerlian is a member of the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon. He served for 18 years as a pastor and school principal at the Armenian Evangelical Church and Secondary School in Anjar. Since July 2014, he has been the pastor of Nor Marash Armenian Evangelical Church in Bourj Hammoud. Rev. Messerlian is a graduate of Haigazian University and the Near East School of Theology.
Mr. Toni Haddad is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in engineering, education, and human behavior. He holds degrees in Electronics and Industrial Control Engineering from Saint-Joseph University, a Master’s degree in Psychology from Haigazian University, Theology from Acadia University in Canada, and Defense Studies from Baylor University in the United States of America. Haddad is currently the Executive Director of the Lebanese Evangelical Society. He has occupied this position after more than two decades of experience in education, training, and administration. Haddad has also played a key role in the development of several educational programs, and he has conducted extensive research on various topics, including the challenges faced by parents and youth.
