National Educational Conference (NEC 2019) at NEIGB

Under the Patronage of HE Mr. Saad Hariri, represented by MP Ms. Bahia Hariri, and with the esteemed presence of the President of the Supreme Council of Evangelical Churches in Syria and Lebanon, Rev. Joseph Kassab, along with political and educational figures, the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon (AESL) hosted its inaugural National Educational Conference (NEC 2019).  

Led by Dr. George Rahbahi, President of AESL, and Dr. Nabil Costa, Secretary General, the conference brought together over 35 local and international speakers, including prominent figures like MP Nicolas Sehnaoui, Mr. Alan November, Dr. Eric Sheninger, Dr. Brett Everhart, Mr. Greg Benner, and Mrs. Jane Pletzer. These experts shared their latest research and insights with more than 1200 teachers from across Lebanon.

The NEC 2019, held at the National Evangelical Institute for Girls & Boys (NEIGB) in Saida, focused on the theme “Unlocking Our Potential.” This gathering provided educators from over 30 Evangelical and non-Evangelical schools with a unique opportunity to network, learn, and share best practices.

The conference kicked off on April 4th with an opening ceremony at NEIGB’s newly inaugurated state-of-the-art theater. Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian presided over the first day, followed by Rev. Dr. Habib Badr on the second.

Over two days, approximately 20 daily sessions were held on the NEIGB campus. These sessions covered a wide range of educational topics, offering educators valuable insights and tools to stay relevant and enhance their teaching practices.

NEC 2019 served as a vital platform for educators to acquire new knowledge, skills, and perspectives in the field of education. It was a resounding success, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence in education.

 

The conference continued on April 5th and 6th with approximately 20 daily sessions held on the NEIGB campus.
This conference provided educators with a valuable platform to stay relevant and acquire new knowledge and skills in various educational fields.
